"Battle of the Barnabys" Part Two.
Issue#50: "Battle of the Barnabys" Part Two.
Part Seven of Eight of the Doppelganger Saga
The return of Feigenbaum does not bode well for Bartleby...
Notes and References:
This is the seventh appearance of Bartleby.
This issue features the return of Feigenbaum who was previously "unimagined" by Bartleby in issue#46 "The Unimagining Of Feigenbaum". I don't think anyone who reads the weekly strip ever really thought a character as popular as Feigenbaum was truly gone (he features in the new header above!), He was just biding his time to strike back at the evil doppelganger.
Loaker, Aldbug and Cecil all appear in this issue but do not have any dialogue.
Feigenbaum demonstrates the ability to make Bartleby vanish to parts unknown in this issue. The pooka also says a variation of the conversation Bartleby had with him in issue#46.
This issue features the first proper albeit brief meeting between Barnaby and Feigenbaum. They have previously "met" each other twice, Once unknowingly in issue#26 "Barnaby and the Blizzard" and in a dream sequence in issue#11 "A Nightmare In Moloch Falls".
The 50th issue is more of a conclusion/climax of the Doppelganger saga since next week's issue will only deal with the immediate fate and future of Bartleby as a character. Issue#51 is more an epilogue to the eight part saga.
