"The Gremlin Club" Part Two

Issue#41: "The Gremlin Club" Part Two

Loaker looks set for another couple of weeks worth of detentions....

Notes and References:

This issue is the final part of a series influenced and inspired by "The Breakfast Club" directed by John Hughes and starring Emilio Estevez, Paul Gleason, Antony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy. The film focuses on the lives of five very different high school students as they spend a day in detention with their strict yet apathetic teacher.

This issue follows on from the previous issue in that it reenacts a scene from the movie. This issue shows Loaker arguing with his teacher Mr. Alighieri and earning himself and his brother a few more detentions each. In the movie "The Breakfast Club", bad boy student John Bender does the very same with Mr. Vernon.

Feigenbaum appears in the header, striking a pose to the lyrics from "Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds. This is again taken from a scene in the movie where John Bender does the very same thing just before the end credits.

Mr. Alighieri makes his third appearance with this issue.

Barnaby uses the line "This is all your fault!"- a line which he has previously used on Loaker way back in issue#2: "Are You There God? It's Barnaby and Loaker"
