Issue#40: "The Gremlin Club"
Part One
Following last week's issue, The gang are all in detention with Mr. Alighieri. Barnaby tries to get them out of it with a recognisable speech...
Notes and References:
This issue is directly inspired by "The Breakfast Club", A coming of age 80s movie by John Hughes (one of my favourite movies of all time). It even has a direct quote from the moving essay that the main characters of the movie leave for their teacher at the end of the film. Although this issue plays about with the dynamics of the group and the quotation.
The title image is a direct reference to the poster of "The Breakfast Club".
This is second part of a trilogy of issues that fall under "The Gremlin Club trilogy".
This is the second appearance of Mr. Alighieri, Who originally appeared in issue#31: "The Further Desolation of Moloch by Loaker Banks".
