"The Hound Of Moloch Falls"

Issue#33: "The Hound Of Moloch Falls"

Loaker and Feigenbaum play detective as they hunt a hound from hell....or look for a missing poodle...

Notes and References:

This issue is influenced and inspired by the famous Sherlock Holmes story "The Hound of the Baskervilles", Written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1902. In the original story, Detective Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson reunite to take on a new case involving the Baskerville family and their apparent ancient curse of a hellhound hunting them.

This issue marks the first 2014 appearance of Loaker and Feigenbaum in the same strip. It is similar to issue#19: "The Ingenious Gentleman Don Loaker of La Moloch Falls" in that Loaker and Feigenbaum dress up and pretend to be famous fictional characters. Loaker wears an outfit similar to Sherlock Holmes in keeping with the title and storyline where as Feigenbaum adopts a trilby hat and camel overcoat usually worn by stereotypical television detectives such as Detective Columbo played Peter Falk.

Feigenbaum wears a blue silk stripe on his hat as a symbol of being Loaker's Pooka. The coat and hat that Feigenbaum wears in this story originally belong to Loaker's father Mr Banks.

It is unknown whether Feigenbaum lets his imagination and fear of the supposed hound get the better of him or if he genuinely misunderstood whatever Loaker says to him.
