Notes and References:

The title "Night of the Living Loaker" is a reference to "Night of the Living Dead", an American independent zombie film directed by George A. Romero in 1968. The film shows seven survivors trapped in a farmhouse with the undead surrounding them. The film spawned a series of sequels collectively known as the "Living Dead films".

The title is also a reference to it being Loaker's last night alive as he dies in this issue.

This issue picks up exactly where last week's issue ended with Loaker sneaking up on Barnaby. This issue reveals that Loaker was not a zombie as some expected him to be. However by the end of this issue he gets bitten by a zombie Kathy Dudbert.

The header shows Loaker as a zombie. This is what he will look like after he is infected by zombie Kathy.
