"Kathy Dudbert Loves Barnaby Banks#6"
Issue#36: "Kathy Dudbert Loves Barnaby Banks pt.6 :Or; The Valentine's Day That Never Was!"
Kathy is all set to give Barnaby the best valentine's day ever! However there's just one slight problem....
Notes and References:
This issue features memorabilia of Barnaby's favourite TV show superhero Rooster Thompson. He has previously been mentioned in issue#18: "Kathy Dudbert Loves Barnaby Banks pt.3", Issue#9: "Loaker, Interrupted" and issue#8: "The Barnaby Or The Egg?". However this is his first fully coloured "appearance".
The Rooster themed items seen in this issue include- a Rooster Thompson Space Hopper, a poster, a collection of comic books featuring the TV Superhero, an alarm clock and a cardboard cut out.
Barnaby's favourite author Oliver Iht, The self help life coach is mentioned for the first time. The character was planned to appear in the comics from the very beginning but has failed to be mentioned or referenced until now.
This issue illustrates Barnaby's favourite sweets- Pikelny Cereal Bars and Orkin Soda.
"Kathy Dudbert Loves Barnaby Banks pt.6" was originally going to be a very different valentines themed story and would have been last week's issue, However the Kathy Dudbert strips have consistently featured six issues apart from one another. This meant that the original story had to be altered so that Kathy would inadvertently miss Valentine's Day.
