Issue#11: "A Nightmare in Moloch Falls"
It's Feigenbaum VS Barnaby! When the Pookah enters Barnaby's dreams, Anything can happen....
Notes and References:
The opening line 'Twas Night Time in Moloch Falls is a play on the 1823 poem A Visit from St Nicholas or as it is more commonly known by it's opening line- 'Twas The Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore.
The ever changing mask of Feigenbaum in the dreamworld was inspired by The Adventures of Mark Twain, A 1985 animation directed by Will Vinton.
The Title reference is to the 1983 slasher film A Nightmare on Elm Street written and directed by Wes Craven. It features the nightmarish character of Freddy Krueger hunting down a group of teenagers in their dreams which links into the playful creepiness of Feigenbaum who is a questionable character in the Barnaby and Loaker strips.
This issue marks the first time that Barnaby has ever encountered Feigenbaum as he is more commonly associated with Loaker. It is also the first issue where neither "Barnaby" or "Loaker" feature in the name of the title...
